Bryan--I'm a little late, but I don't usually get to the Forum on weekends. I was lucky enough to see Bob on 11/30/79 at the Oakland Auditorium (later known as the Kaiser). I was 20 at the time and went with three of my buddies. I had been a fan for a couple years by that time (not so strangely enough, I got hip to the GD and BMW about the same time). I don't remember specific songs or the setlist, as we ingested some mushrooms and I was pretty high. I do clearly remember Bob leading the crowd in the "oy yo yo yo" chant in Jammin, and Ronnie Wood came out for a lengthy encore.
FYI, this show is streaming at Wolfgang's Vault. I've listened to it a couple of times, and it was a great show. I knew for years it had been great, but there was little I could remember (many years and lots of water (and other substances) under the bridge. Like many Dead shows here at the Archive, it's a huge joy to go back and refresh one's memory of shows attended.
I, too, am sober now and it's nice to be able to look back and clearly remember a show. I just saw Richard Thompson at the Fillmore on Friday night and it is very clear in my mind. GREAT show, by the way.

Very good for you! I didn't get hip to Marley until after he passed on, but like those who continually learn about the phenomenon of The Grateful Dead more than a dozen years now since we lost Jerry (along with all of the other greats, a list far too long to compile for our purposes here), that spirit will live forever.
